Chillhop is a team of about 20 people all working different amounts of hours and located in various locations. Even though we have our headquarters in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and we hang out frequently around the office, we mostly communicate through Slack and are a digital-first company optimized for efficient remote work.
We're a team of people that carry a collective connection to the cause and the way we operate the company, which allows us to stay ambitious over time.
The ambition there is to make sure we consistently create unique, fitting and valuable content for the audience together with the talented artists which fits to the brand and which performs. One of our principles is for example that we treat everyone work with the way we want to be treated ourselves, which resulted in top tier customer feedback and support to our artists.
In general that means we're a quite relaxed and flexible company so everyone can optimize based on how they perform best, as long as we make sure that we keep on creating great things and get results. If you want to work primarily from home that's totally fine, while at the same time we make sure colleagues get to connect with each other in real life every once in a while. If you are more of a morning person or prefer to work a little later sometime, you're free to divide your time as you see fit as long as it doesn't hinder the work and collaboration around it. We feel it's important to have a foundation of mutual trust to maintain this way of working.
It's in Chillhop's DNA to come up with innovative ideas and make them happen in a lean way, whether it's to create new products and features, or to improve on what's already there. That means we have the required structure to make sure it's not complete chaos, but we strive to avoid pointless meetings and endless back and forth.
Collaboration in all of this is key, so we want to make sure we continuously push each other to be the best version of themselves, as cliché as this might sound.
